If this is the bug I think it is, there's a kludge in OGS and a fix from
Univa in SGE8.  You may be able to replace just the execds with OGS if
you're running 6.2u5, but the fixed changed the protocol version in v8,
so you'd have to upgrade everything.

I'd say you might as well just upgrade to whatever version you choose if
you want the fix.
