Did you try to contact the original poster about their solution (you can click the name in the link you posted)? It would have been good if he would have stated the solution though, not just only that it was fixed.

SGE doesn't transfer any files on its own. So I could assume that Galaxy is getting some erroneous information from SGE and couldn't complete the transfer.
