[gridengine users] Qalter in grid

Hi,

Can we alter the submitted job resources using qalter for interactive jobs (jobs submitted using qrsh) as well

For ex :

qalter -l h_vmem=5G job_id

can you let me know if it is applicable only for the pending jobs or running jobs also.
