It depends whether you choose classic spooling or berkley DB during installation. Although changing the files by hand in the frmer case my work in some cases, the best is to use the `qconf` command to change certain settings. Otherwise changes may not be reflected instantly.

As these files are only present on the master, there is no need to copy them to all nodes.
